We are an artisan body and skin care producer based in Petworth, West Sussex. In 2007 we created our own brand of toiletries called Artful Teasing.
The beautiful countryside of West Sussex is a constant inspiration to us. We use natural essential oils to fragrance our products and source quality ingredients from around the world, many of them organic. They are all paraben free.
Husband Colin is a skin care expert and cosmetic chemist who formulates our lotions, creams and washes which are made in Sussex. We diligently tested over fifty variations of our body lotion before we were sure we had the best balance between skin feel and moisturising power.
Wife Kate loves all things fragrant and creates the natural perfumes used to scent our products. Our signature essential oil blend has a top note of joyful sweet orange, a heart of comforting geranium and the base note of etherial frankincense.
We supply prestige establishments with hand wash, hand lotion and bedroom toiletries. Our customers include Goodwood, 2 Michelin starred The Hand & Flowers in Marlow, internationally renowned arts and conservation West Dean College and Pennsylvania Castle on the Isle of Portland.
We are often asked where we got our name from. We were inspired by the William Blake paintings in the amazing art collection in Petworth House. We looked at his poems and loved these lines:
Youth of delight come hither.
And see the opening morn,
Image of truth new born.
Doubt is fled & clouds of reason
Dark disputes & artful teazing.
